No. With the Starter plan (ā‚¹0 upfront), we produce the minimum viable batch (25-50 units) only after we agree on designs together. If something doesn't sell well, we simply don't reorder it. You're never stuck paying for dead inventory. We take on that risk, not you.

How do I know you'll actually deliver good quality?

However, we discourage running parallel merch operations (e.g., using Printful simultaneously) because it creates customer confusion with different quality/shipping times.

The Story Behind Calm Cartel

I'm based in Surat, Gujarat ā€“ India's textile manufacturing capital. My family has been in the apparel business for over 10 years, working with brands and wholesalers across the country.

Over the past few years, I noticed a massive gap: Gaming creators and content creators want to sell merch, but existing solutions suck.

International platforms like Printful take 70-80% of revenue and ship products in 3-4 weeks. Print-on-demand quality is mediocre. DIY merch requires ā‚¹1-2 lakh upfront investment, inventory risk, and dealing with suppliers/logistics/returns yourself.

So I decided to build what I wish existed: A full-service merch platform run by actual manufacturers, designed specifically for Indian creators.

Calm Cartel is not a tech platform with third-party suppliers. We are the suppliers. We own the production relationships, the quality control process, the warehousing, and the fulfillment infrastructure. This means better margins for creators, faster shipping for customers, and actual accountability.
